Tupi National High School won the “Sinedokyu” Mobile Documentary Contest sponsored by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit in celebration of the National Heritage Month (NHM) this month of May.
Now on its Season 2, the mobile documentary contest was participated by 14 high schools under the Special Program for the Arts (SPA) of the Department of Education (DepED) South Cotabato Division, The contest centered on this year’s NHM theme “Pamanang Binhi ng Kulturang Pilipino.”
Tupi NHS received a P5,000 cash incentive and certificate as the first prize winner, while Lake Sebu National High School and Tboli National High School garnered P4,000 and P2,000, respectively, plus a certificate each.
Polonuling National High School likewise was awarded Certificate of Participation for jining thesaid contest.
Earlier, ACTM conducted a 3-day “Siinedokyu” training-workshop from May 16-18 to orient participants about Cultural Assers of Blaan and Tboli culture and Integration of Culture-based Education in reparation for their final output that they submitted for the contest .
The awarding was staged in the afternoon of May 31 at the ACTM Office led by ACTM Culture & Arts Coordinator Tourism Operations Officer II Indira Cagaanan and attended by SPA teachers, students and parents of the participating schools
