Koronadal City, Philippines | September 16, 2025 – On August 22, 2025, Councilor Rebb Tamayo of Tupi, South Cotabato, a first-term councilor, took his oath as the new President of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) of South Cotabato Federation and officially assumed office on August 24, 2025.
He now serves as the PCL representative in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato.
Now nearly a month into his new role at the provincial level, Board Member Tamayo continues to expand his legislative knowledge by actively participating in monthly meetings and attending seminars on local legislation and parliamentary procedures, as part of his transition into higher legislative responsibilities.
According to Board Member Tamayo, “We plan to conduct seminars such as those on Anti-Graft Practices.”
(Plano namin na mag-conduct ng seminars tulad ng Anti-Graft Practices)
He added that these initiatives aim not only to strengthen local legislation but also to create a positive impact on the broader community.
“Actually, everyone will benefit—such as through these seminars, not only in terms of local legislation but also with newly implemented national laws. If we can adopt them locally, they can greatly help our community as a whole,” Tamayo said.
As he begins this new chapter in public service, Board Member Tamayo remains committed to promoting good governance, transparency, and community-driven policymaking—principles he believes are essential in building a more responsive and effective local government.
