Two-new classroom facility to benefit 80 IP pupils in Lunen, Tupi

South Cotabato, Philippines – At least 80 pupils, mostly from indigenous families, will benefit from the newly built two-classroom school facility at Lunen Integrated School – Lamplawan Extension Campus in Tupi.

The Php2.59 million project, equipped with comfort rooms and designed to accommodate 30–40 pupils per classroom, forms part of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s ongoing program to strengthen the education system through continuous classroom construction.

Mike Galang, Executive Assistant IV and Chief of the Inspectorate Unit, confirmed that the new facility has already undergone final inspection.

“Pupils of Barangay Lunen, which is home to many Blaan families, can now experience a better and more conducive learning environment,” Galang said.

He emphasized that the two-classroom project highlights the provincial government’s strong commitment to expanding access to education.

“The continuous construction of classrooms is a clear demonstration of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.’s priority to address classroom shortages and strengthen education in South Cotabato,” Galang stressed.

This initiative is one of several classroom projects currently underway in different schools across the province. Governor Tamayo has consistently cited education as a top agenda, with significant accomplishments in reducing classroom gaps and creating safe, well-equipped, and inclusive learning spaces for South Cotabato’s youth.
