Visual Arts Sector to conduct On-the-Spot Painting contest

After the successful opening of the National Arts Month (NAM) 2023 celebration last February 3,  the Visual Arts Sector (VAS) will conduct an On-the-Spot Painting Contest on Febriary 17 that will be hosted by  Surallah LGU.

          Danny Doce, VAS head disclosed during the Culture & Arts Sectoral meeting that the artists/contestants will paint their art works on canvass. The finished ar works will then be up  for sale to the public after the completion, Doce added,  

Doce pointed oit that their group were able to raise funds for the prizes; the first prize will receive P5,0000, second prize P4,000, third P3,000 annd 5 concolation prizes of P1,000 each. Aside from the cash incentive, prizes in kind in the form of water color art materials will also be given to winners.  

The paintings of the top 3 winners wll automatically become the property of VAS and will be used as exhibits during their activities 

          Earlier, 56 South Cotabato artists displayed their creations during the NAM Opening at the Surallah Mallengke that was graced by Vice-Governor Arthur Pingoy Jr. and Surallah Mayor Pedro Matinong Jr.
