Tantangan LGU undergo Cultural Mapping Final Validation

The Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum Unit (ACTMU) recently conducted Final Validation of the Cultural Mapping Project of Tantangan LGU involving its 12 barangays.

The 12 barangays in attendance during the 4-day validation were Cabuling, New Cuyapo, New Iloilo, New Lambunao, Poblacion, San Felipe, Bukay Pait, Libas, Dumadalig, Maibo,  Magon, and Tinongcop.

The barangays were represented by their respective Local Mappping Team composed of the Lead Mapper, Enumerator and 2 Key Informants.

According to Tourism Operations Officer II Indira Cagaanan, Arts & Culture Coordinator , the respective barangay presented at least 10 cultural icons to the Final Validation Team.

          The Final Validation Team is composed of representatives from the Mayor’s Office, Municipal Planning & Development Office, Municipal Environment & Natural Resources Office and Municipal Tourism Office.

Cagaananan pointed out that the next steps after the final validation will be Final Sditing which will involved Engr. Hans Fernandez (editor), ACTMU staff Shiela Mae Gayol and Cagaanan, and printing of the books.

          The LGUs that has turned over their books were Polomolok, Tupi, Tampakan, Surallah, T,boli, Lake Sebu, Sto. Nino and Norala.
