108 responders complete 6-day training in mass casualty management and swift water rescue

SURALLAH- Over the span of six days, 108 responders in the province underwent a comprehensive training program in Disaster Response and Rescue Operations, focusing on mass casualty management and swift water rescue proficiency assessment. The training was held in the town of Surallah.

The program covered the proper management and response to incidents involving multiple casualties, in addition to proficiency assessment for swift water rescue. The primary objective of the training was to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of each responder during emergency situations, particularly in events that demand immediate assistance from those with the necessary expertise and the correct handling of drowning incidents.

Participants were divided into two groups, with the first batch taking place from October 2 to 7 and the second commencing on October 9 and concluding on October 14.

This initiative is part of the ongoing program spearheaded by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., in his role as PDRRMC Chairperson, in collaboration with the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Associations, under the leadership of OIC-PDRRMO Rolly Doane C. Aquino, RN, MPA.
