The free hospitalization program of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato assisted 29,237 patients at the Provincial Hospital, according to Chief of Hospital Dr. Conrado Brana.
Dr. Brana reported that the province provided funds of at least P250M to run the free hospitalization program.
“This would not possible without the assistance from the Department of Health and the Malasakit Center,” Brana reported.
The report confirmed that Malasakit Center received P10M from the Office of the President and this allocation accommodated 619 patients.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health poured in P11M and helped 577 patients admitted at the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital.
The province spent at least P450M when hospital services were to include in the free hospitalization program.
At least 100, 000 patients from the Outpatient Department Emergency room were given free medical consultation and COVID 19 vaccine.
The free hospitalization program is a flagship program of Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr.
