79 students avail free chocolate milk for 10-day feeding activity

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO- To lessen the ballooning malnutrition and stunting in the Province of South Cotabato, a continuous program and intervention was made to control such case.

As part of this, on the first batch of the program Thirty-five kindergarten pupils of Upper Tantangan Integrated School located in a far-flung sitio at Barangay Poblacion, Tantangan, receive 350 Chocolate Milk bottles for a 10-day milk feeding activity.

And on the second batch, Forty-four kindergarten pupils of Mayada Elementary School located at the far-flung sitio at Barangay Libas, Tantangan, receive 430 Chocolate Milk bottles for the same succeeding days of milk feeding activity.

Barangay Affairs Community Organizer Adonis Sollano delivers a box of choco milk to ensure that all beneficiaries will be given.

The Choco milk is produced and processed at the province’s Animal Production and Processing Center, Tantangan.

“On behalf of the parents and all the teachers of Mayada Elementary School, I would like to extend my heartfelt to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. for all the support you have extended to our school for the benefit of our learners. This 10-day feeding program in a form of fresh milk is really a big help for the nutritional status of our learners. Thank you once again and God bless as you continue your good service to the people of South Cotabato.” Lorie Mae Manzano, Teacher-in-charge of Mayada Elementary School said as she extends words of thanks to the Provincial Gov’t of South Cotabato.

True to his words, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. wants to alleviate the status of stunting and malnourished children in the whole province by measures to reduce the risks of its effects on the health status of the children.
