9 LGUs undergo Cultiral Mapping training in ‘23

Nine (9) towns in South Cotabato underwent training on Cultural Mapping Training, a program under the Arts and Culture section of the Arts, Culture, Tourism andMuseum Unit (ACTMU).

ACTMU disclosed that for Lake Sebu, Surallah and T”boli, their respective Cultural Mappng Book was already submitted to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Meanwhile, for Tampakan and Sto. Nino towns’ Cultural Profile and Book Binding, ACTMU pointed out, are all under finalization

Fifteen (15) barangays of Tupi, on the other hand, have turned over their individual Cultural Mapping Profile last July 25, 2023. ACTMU  also reported that the Profile of Barangay Poblacion was adopted by the Sangguniang Bayan and submitted to NCCA’s Philippine Registry of Cultural Properties (PRE-CUP).

For the remaining LGUS, the following accomplishments were reported by ACTMU; Norala – conducted final validation on 14 barangays, Polomolok – turned over 11 cultural mapping books (Volume 1) to barangays, and Tantangan – Phase 4 of the Data Gathering finished.
