South Cotabato farmers can avail of the Php20.5 million worth of farm facilities from the Department of Agriculture 12 this year, the office of the provincial Agriculturist said.
The funds will come from the two projects. These include Php17.7 million from the corn-cassava program, while Php2.8 million from the rice program.
The OPAG said they are now accepting the letter of Intents coming from different peoples organizations within the province who wants to avail of the program.
Under the corn-cassava program, the list of facilities to avail are the following;
2 units four-wheel drive tractor for corn and one unit for cassava worth Php2.8 million each; 6 units corn mill worth Php450,000 each, 6 units mechanical corn sheller worth Php250,000 each; one (1) unit vacuum pack sealer worth Php78,500; 5 units generator set for the corn mill worth Php450,000 each; 6 units multi-crop worth driving pavement worth Php350,000 each.
Under the rice program, farmers can also avail of one (1) unit stationary rice mill worth Php650,000; 12 units seed spreader worth php68,400; and 4 units transplanter worth Php350,000 each.
In partnership with the OPAG and the OMAG, the DA 12 will conduct site joint validation to applicants to ensure that the recipients are the deserving farmer beneficiaries of the facilities
