467 households in one of far-flung barangay of Tampakan benefits free social services

TAMPAKAN, SOUTH COTABATO- Gov. Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. spearheaded the regular community outreach program dubbed as “Tama kag Maayo nga Serbisyo para sa Katawhan” held at Brgy. Danlag, Tampakan, South Cotabato, earlier this week.

The different department and offices of Provincial Government of South Cotabato directly delivers the services down to the grass root to ensure everyone will be served.

At least 467 households from Brgy. Danlag, Tampakan avail free basic social services such as haircut, reflexology, animal vitamins and vaccines, tool sharpening, seedlings, medical and dental, medicine, circumcision, manicure/pedicure, food packs and feeding. Other fun and exciting activity include parlor games and raffle draw.

The following are the additional services given to the constituents such as: olyset net for the mosquito protection, HIV Testing, Tax Campaign, and Malaria/Filariasis Testing.

Majority of the residents belong to the minority group/IP community.

In addition, as part of the 30th Barangay Foundation Anniversary and 13th “doon oket kayo celebration”, Municipal Mayor of Tampakan Leonard T. Escobillo officiated the free wedding ceremony of 20 lovely couples of the said Barangay dubbed as “Kasalan sa Barangay”.

The community outreach program is a regular program of the provincial government of South Cotabato through the Barangay Affairs Unit (BAU) and Provincial Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) that aims to bring the government services closer to the people especially to the far-flung communities in the province.
