South Cotabato surpasses 95% target on Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio

South Cotabato has once again exceeded its target of 95% for the Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio (SPKP) conducted last February 17 to March 1 this year when it vaccinated 101,126 targeted children aged 0-59 months old or equivalent to 95.95% with the bivalent Types 1 and 3 oral polio vaccine (OPV).

Four (4) LGUs reached or even exceeded 100% of their respective target population led by Lake Sebu (11,039-101%), Norala (5,913-101%), Banga (10,533-100%) and Tupi (8,981-100%), according to the compiled report of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).

Accomplishments of other LGUs were as follows; City of Koronadal (20,848-95%), Polomolok (6,919-88%), Sto. Nino (5,106-99%), Surallah (10,483-99%), Tampakan (4,382-88%), Tantangan (4,740-87%), T,boli (11,382-99%).

South Cotabato has a total of 114,774 targeted population of 0-59 months old children

During the November 18 – December 1, 2019 and January 20 – February 2, 2020 monovalent OPV-SPKP, the province recorded an accomplishment of 93.79% and 97.56%, respectively.

Provincial Health Offficer II Dr. Rogelio B. Aturdido Jr. congratulated the IPHO employees during their monthly staff meeting today (March 2) for a job well done.
