All government-run tourism destinations in South Cotabato close for operation

Koronadal City— All government-run tourism facilities in South Cotabato are now closed for operation based on amended order from the Office of Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr.

The order stated that operations of all tourism destinations in the province such as the Sports Complex, Cultural Gymnasium, Protech Center, and the Seven Falls Zip Line are suspended as part of the preemptive lock down as “a measure to suspend the spread of COVID-19.”

Marlyn Almaden, South Cotabato Economic Enterprise Management Officer-In-Charge, released Monday the suspension of facility operations until further notice.

“We cannot accommodate visiting tourists and clients particularly in the Zip Line during the community quarantine period,” Almaden said in her letter to all facility managers.

Meanwhile, facility managers are  directed to decline bookings at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center. Refund, however, was given back to organizers.

Restaurants at the vicinity of the Protech Center like LetsRock Resto and Dinz Food Hauz are advised to suspend operations immediately, Almaden said in the letter.

She also asked the employees under in these facilities to revise work schedules, following the guidelines of the executive order of the governor.
