UPESCO candidates presented during Monday Convocation Program; Aquino, Magno vie for Prexy

Candidates in the forthcoming election of the Union of Provincial Employees of South Cotabato (UPESCO) on July 13 (Monday) were presented during the resumption of the regular Monday Convocation Program last July 6, after it was temporarily suspended due to the imposition of nationwide lockdown brought about by the CoViD-19 Pandemic.

Regular employees who were qualified voters for the election listened to the candidates who were given a time to render their respective speech by the Commission on Election 9COMELEC) headed by Fruto Sumagaysay Jr of PGO-ACTM. One (1) minute was allotted for the positions of Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Business Manager and Public Information Officer, while candidates for President where given 3 minutes each

Vying for the Presidency are Rolly Doane Aquino (PDRRMO) of EMPOWER Party and Rex Magno (PTO) of UPESCO Party, who both promised genuine and transparent governance for the benefit of the provincial government employees.

The line-up of EMPOWER Party are Lloyd Esparagosa (Vice-President), Jo-ann Palacio (Secretary), Mary Faith Magbanua (Assistant Secretary), Mark Philip Tingwasan (Treasurer), Francis Deo Lava (Auditor), Michael Jay Calixtro (Business Manager), Evelyn Fantilanan (Public Information Officer).

Meanwhile, UPESCO Party candidates are Wendell Bonjoc (Vice-President), Jeneen Vince Espanol (Secretary), Arvin Ian Robles (Assistant Secretary), Ranelle Pedrico (Treasurer), Rolly Wanan (Auditor), Danny Jason Duron (Business Manager), Michael Anthony Almaden (Public Information Officer).

Prior to the presentation of candidates, Jennifer Misaen Garrino of PPDO who is one of the COMELEC Members gave the General Instructions for the conduct of the 2020 UPESCO Election.

The July 13 UPESCO Election will be assisted by 20 Election Deputies representing each office and 12 Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) composed of 4 Clusters with 3 members each.
