KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO- South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. assured that he will file charges against protocol violators especially in the implementation of strict quarantine periods of our Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs).
The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through the mandate of Governor Tamayo, committed to fetch the province’s LSIs and ROFs at the different areas of Mindanao, including the seaports and fishports, at all cost, together with the team from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the Provincial Tourism Office, and the South Cotabato PNP.
Governor Tamayo said during the press conference.
However, Governor Tamayo was quite worried because others are not serious in their compliance with the strict 14-day mandatory quarantine and some are also fleeing from their quarantine facilities.
“Ang problema noong tinanggap, yung iba hindi sumunod sa protocol lumabas sa community hindi natin alam kung positive or negative ngayon pag nag positive po problemahin natin lahat ng yan,” he added.
He also appealed to the people of South Cotabato, local chief executives, and all returning OFWs and LSIs to practice the right protocols and isolation procedures to ensure the safety of everyone from COVID-19.
Governor Tamayo appeals.
As of now, he instructed all the LGUs to strengthen their monitoring because should anyone violate such protocols, a case will be filed against them.
Meanwhile, those LSIs and ROFs who are set to return to the province must first coordinate with their respective LGUs.
