Transfer of technology from SC-CCTS to R12-CCTS underway

Series of capability building training will be conducted next week to the local government units within the SOCCSKSARGEN region on the transfer of technology of the  South Cotabato-Covid 19- Contact Tracing System to the Region 12-CCTS.

The initiative will be led by the SC-CCTS Implementing team to the  LGUs of Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato province, General Santos City, and Cotabato City.

This is in preparation for the integration of the two systems for a more unified application of the contact tracing system within the region.

Provincial Planning Officer Jennifer Bretaña said the training will be conducted by batch per LGU via zoom and will be coordinated by the DILG 12.

Bretana said there will be some modifications on the system which will include the following:

  1. Change in the name from SC-CCTS to R12-CCTS.
  2. Change in the URL to http//r12ccts.ph but the https://southcotabato.ph will be retained and if clicked it can be redirected to their respective landing page.
  3. Modification on the layout of the website, of which the logo to be placed will be the map of  Region 12 and logo of each of the provinces/cities.
  4. Changes on the layout of the ID, to include the logo of the RIATF and each of the provinces.

“The best way to protect our province is to act as one region,” Bretaña said,

She added that based on the coordination meeting conducted earlier, the  Regional Inter-Agency Task Force agreed to maintain one (1) server only for the R12-CCTS  but the database will be managed by South Cotabato province.

However, each local government unit can have access to their own database and generate a report through their respective Provincial/ City/ Municipal Epidemiology Surveillance Unit once there are positive cases.

She clarified that the SC-CCTS  identification cards earlier generated can still be used while provinces and cities outside the province can print their own IDs using their own layouts.

To date, there are at least 1.1 million South Cotabateños who have registered to the system;  13,123 establishments, and   377,550  persons from outside of the province.
