Gov. Tamayo thankful for the NCCA projects in South Cotabato

Koronadal City—-Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. appreciated the projects of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in South Cotabato because it creates vibrant communities for arts and culture.

“Isang pagkakataon ang dumating sa atin dahil tayo ay pinaunlakan ng NCCA na maging bahagi ng kanilang programa,” he said in his message during the recently concluded training and workshop for storytelling.

He encouraged young South Cotabatenos to hone their art skills and take part in the cultural activities of the province.

“Ang South Cotabato ay isang angkop na lugar upang buuin ang mga naratibong magpapasigla sa ating kultura,” he said.

He challenged the people of South Cotabato to make the province the canvass of every artistic endeavor.

“Gawin ninyong backdrop ang ating luntiang mga bundok, malawak na mga lawa at masisipag na mga kababayan sa inyong mga kwento,” he said.

NCCA funded the training on storytelling in partnership with National Book Nook. Along with this, NCCA also granted Lake Sebu, Tboli, and Surallah in the conduct of the Cultural Mapping Project.

Winners for the digital storytelling contests were Yancy Dizon, Angel Faith Leal and Izl Hope Jaspe for being the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winner respectively.
