At least 50 initial beneficiaries of the ANGAT program ( Alalay sa Negosyo, Ginhawa at Trabaho) received Php10, 000 each as capital seed fund for the Rabbit Farming project from the Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office during the turn-over ceremony held earlier today.
These beneficiaries who came from the barangays of San Vicente, Lamba, and Lambingi of Banga; and the barangays of Puti and Simsiman of Norala were part of the 150 recipients of the program.
Under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr, the provincial government has allocated Php1. 5 million to help marginalized individuals avail of the livelihood program especially this time of the pandemic.
Rabbitry farming was identified as one of the promising industries in the province which could provide potential income for the beneficiaries.
ANGAT program which is one of the flagship programs of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. aims to improve the socio-economic capacity of the poor and vulnerable households and underprivileged sectors through the provision of capital seed assistance and enhancement of employable and livelihood skills.
