South Cotabato starts 100-hour countdown to ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’

Koronadal City—Health officials here started a 100-hour countdown Thursday to Bayanihan Bakunahan as South Cotabato’s strategy to the nation-wide COVID 19 vaccination drive on November 29 to December 2021.

Hanna Ebeo, Health Education Promotions Officer, said the 100-hour countdown is an exciting encouragement to all South Cotabatenos to get the COVID-19 vaccine during the three-day health event.

“I am inviting all eligible residents to be part of this massive vaccination drive to reduce the risk of COVID 19 infection,” Ebeo said in her launching message.

South Cotabato aims to immunize 187,000 people of South Cotabato during the three-day vaccination day to increase community herd immunity.

Ebeo said 112 vaccination sites are open during the vaccination day. Every barangay health center in all local government units is a catchment area.

While the vaccine gives the people strength and immunity individually, we all seek that same strength and immunity in the rebuilding of our nation, Ebeo emphasized.

“’Pag ligtas, ang lakas ng ekonomiya. ‘Pag ligtas, ang lakas ng pamilya. ‘Pag ligtas, ang lakas ng samahan,” she added.
