SouthCot ranks 6th as Most Competitive province

South Cotabato was named as the top 6  Most Competitive Province based on the ranking of the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index  (CMCI)   during the recently concluded  9th Regional Competitiveness Summit held today via virtual awarding ceremony spearheaded by the  Department of Trade and Industry.
From its top 11 placement last year,  South Cotabato made a remarkable improvement based on the five pillars of good governance in terms of economic dynamism, infrastructure, resiliency, government efficiency, and innovation under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. 
 Topping the list are the following:
Forst place is  Rizal province of Calabarzon ; 2nd place, Davao Del Norte of Region 11; 3rd place, Camiguin of  Northern Mindanao; 4th place, Laguna of Calabarzon;  5th place, Cavite of Calabarzon.
Ang Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index ay isang annual ranking ng mga lungsod at munisipyo sa bansa na binuo ng National Competitiveness Council sa pamamagitan ng Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) at tulong ng United States Agency for International Development.
On the other hand, Koronadal City ranked 4th  Resiliency Category , while  the Municipality of Polomolok also ranked 4th in terms of  Economic Dynamism category.
CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities. It is measured based on five competitiveness pillars, these are Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and introducing Innovation.
