Lake Sebu remains South Cotabato’s top tourist destination

          The municipality of Lake Sebu, the province’s eco-cultural capital, , is still the top tourist destination among the 11 component LGUs of South Cotabato for 2021, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit reported in their annual report.

Other favorite sites or attractions enjoyeded by tourists are the lake cruise, tilapia delicacies, cultural immersion, Our Lady of Divine Mercy Shrine, Tdaan Kini Fals, Deeamweavers Hill, Punta Isla Lake Resort, Sunris Garden Lake Resort, among others.

 The next prime tourist destination are the City of Koronadal with 378,821, followed by Norala with 214,740, Tupi with 200,835, Banga 100,466, Tboli 40,014, Sto. Nino 25,757, Tampakan 13,824, Tantangan 7,500, Polomolok 2,916.

          Four (4) component LGUs of the province, namely; Lake Sebu, Norala, City of Koronadal and Tupi made it as one of the top ten (10) tourist destinations in SOCCSKSARGEN, according to the 2021 SOCCSARGEN Annual Tourist Arrival Report of the Department of Tourism (DOT) 12.

          South Cotabato steadily improved its yourist arrival registering a total of 1.6 millionin 2021 compated to only more than 400,000 in 2020. Before the CoVid-19 pandemic that hit the country in 2020, South Cotabato recorded 1.3 million tourist arrival in 2019.
