DICT, DILG recognize South Cotabato in Digital Governance Award

Koronadal City—The Provincial Government of South Cotabato is a recipient of the Digital Governance Award, an annual search for the best practices of LGUs in utilizing ICT solutions to effectively and efficiently deliver its public services directly to its constituents and its business stakeholders.

“We are honored to award the plaque of recognition to the Province of South Cotabato for being in the second place in DGA throughout the country,” Department of Interior Provincial Program Manager Ali Suwaib.

The award referred to the South Cotabato’s COVID-19 Contact Tracing System (SC-CCTS), a mobile app produced by the IT division of the Provincial Capitol in 202o. It is an efficient and expeditious contact tracing of confirmed COVID-19-positive patients. It is a digitized or electronic logbook system that aims to contain the transmission of COVID-19.

The DGA is by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines, and the Department of Interior and Local Government. Gov. Tamayo received the award during the Monday convocation ceremony. With him is Vice-Governor Arthur Pingoy, Jr.
