The putting up of a provincial-led- government-owned and controlled corporation as one of the economic enterprises in South Cotabato is set to commence through the passage of an ordinance in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. said this move will ensure the sustainability of the program to continually bring progress and development to the entire province by increasing local revenues and not totally relying on the national tax allocation from the national government.
The SP, led by Vice-Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy Jr. in his earlier pronouncement assured Governor Tamayo that all programs and projects of the executive department are duly supported by the legislative department.
Aside from the assistance from the SP, the governor also called on the cooperation of all department heads to support his plans.
“I can lay down my visions but the execution of these plans relies on your active support”, he said,
He added that the process for the implementation of these plans is not easy, but as soon as it is done, this will surely make a difference in the lives of the constituents.
