80 farmers avail of free tractor service in SouthCot

At least 80 farmers from the three municipalities in the province have benefitted once again from the continued provision of the free tractor services program implemented by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Based on the reports from the OPAG, the program has served 80 hectares of land from the municipalities of Norala, Polomolok, and T’boli.
For the municipality of Norala, 43 farmers have availed covering at least 56 hectares of service areas.
Another nine farmers from Polomolok availed of the program covering 14 hectares, while another ten farmers from Tboli also availed of the program with 20 hectares of services areas.
Provincial Agriculturist Raul Teves said these are just initial beneficiaries as the program continuously responds to requests.

The “Free Tractor Service” is one of the flagship programs of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. which aims to lower the cost of production and increase the income of farmers.
Those who want to avail of the program can coordinate their respective municipal agriculture offices in their towns, or they can direct their request to the OPAG, a week before their scheduled availing of the service.
