President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. is set to visit to the province of South Cotabato on June 14, 2023 to grace various activities in the province.
President Marcos, who is also the Agriculture Secretary will be the guest of Honor during the launching of the Consolidated Rice Production and Mechanization System, at Brgy. Liwanay, Banga, South Cotabato which is the site for the South Cotabato Integrated Rice Processing Center.
The Consolidated farming program is one of the priorities of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. which aims to create an efficient rice production and marketing system to enhance production, improve grain quality and become globally competitive through the practice of climate resilient, good agricultural practices, low cost production, efficient farm mechanization and value adding practices.
Under the said System, small rice farmers are involved to form a compact rice area of at least 1000 hectares. To date, at least 200 hectares of rice fields are being planted with rice at Brgy. Dajay, at Surallah town being the pilot area.
The program will be attended by farmer beneficiaries, local officials in the province and national line agencies in the region.
President Marcos will also grace the “Launching of the South Cotabato Provincewide Health System and Referral Manual and Sandbox Konsulta Package” at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center in Koronadal City.
Other activities the president will attend are the Kadiwa ng Pangulo and Jobs Fair.
