“Gov. Tamayo’s non-surgical procedure yesterday to treat the blockage in his coronary artery went well. He is doing good, ” South Cotabato Provincial Information Officer Rudy S. Jimenea released an Official Statement about the health condition of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.”
Jimenea said the governor was rushed to St. Elizabeth in the City of General Santos last Friday, February 2. A few days later, February 5, 2024, Gov. Tamayo underwent a noninvasive procedure in a Davao City hospital.
It was learned that the Governor suffered a burning feeling in his chest, and promptly given medications to dissolve clot found in a blood vessels in his heart.
Currently, the governor is on medical leave and is still recuperating.
