In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Department of Interior and Local Government XII conducts Gender and Development (GAD) Press Conference. This year’s theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan” highlights the significant contribution of women in humanity. Under the Republic Act 7192 Also known as the Women in Development and Nation Building Act acknowledges the indispensable value of women in building resilient communities, this act also promulgates the fundamental equality of men and women in nation-building.
Held at DILG XII Conference room, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s Information Office together with Medias from TopGun Radio,Good Vibes, DXKI, 101.3, MINDANOW Sentinel News, Radyo Latigo and from Philippine Information Agency duly represented by ARD Danilo Doguiles, interacted in the discussion revolves around the different initiatives of the Government in terms of promoting gender equality especially the involvement of women in decision making, workforce and participation.
Headed by DILG XII OIC Regional Director Atty. Rochelle Mahinay-Sero together with the panel from DILG XII Chief of Staff Atty. Ryan Alair, Commission on Human Rights XII (CHR ) OIC Regional Director Atty. Gomez and Civil Service Commission Representative Dr. Delos Reyes, the press conference successfully concludes with Atty Sero’s statement:
