Some 96,510 visitors flocked to South Cotabato during Lenten Season this year, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum Unit (ACTMU) reported.
CTMU Statistician Richie Matunding disclosed that Same Day Visitors (Excursionists) totaled 92,454 while Overnight Guests reached 4,036.
Lake Sebu topped the arrivals of excursionists and overnight guests with 44,120 and 2,054 arrivals, respectively.
Folloowing Lake Sebu in the excursionist arrival is Tampakan with 9,457; Banga – 9,355; Tupi – 6,905; Norala – 6,488; T’boli – 5,615; City of Koronadal – 4,218; Polomolok – 3,484; Surallah – 2,283; Tantangan – 529.
For the Overnight Guests record, Polomolok placed second after Lake Sebu with 736; Banga – 364; City of Koronadal – 305; Tupi – 254; Surallah -220; T’boli – 71; Norala – 33.
Foreign visitors meanwhile recorded 98 Same Day Visitors and 7 Overnight Guests.
