Prov’l Dev’t Council endorses road projects to RDC, DA

City of Koronadal – The Provincial Development Council (PDC) endorsed four road projects to the Regional Development Council (RDC) 12 and another 8 farm-to-market roads (FMRs) to the Department of Agriculture 12 during its first regular meeting last March 31 held at the PDC Hall, PPDO building, this city.

Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes, PDC Chair, led the collegial body in endorsing the road projects proposed by the Infrastructure Development Committee, which decided could bring impact to both the agriculture and agri-industrial sectors in the province.

Two road projects, the Tupi – Sarangani Road and Koronadal City – Columbio Road that were endorsed to RDC 12, were proposed by Tupi and Koronadal City LGUs, respectively.

Another two road projects that were endorsed to RDC 12 were the Banga – Tupi Bypass Road and Tantangan – Koronadal City Bypass Road, which were identified by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 12.

The RDC-endorsed projects will be tackled during the third quarter meeting of the said council.

Likewise, eight FMRs that were endorsed to DA 12 have a total cost P 455 million with a total required equity from MLGUs amounting to P44.5 million and another P 11 million counterpart from PLGU.
