POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO, The Convergence Approach for Transformation and CHange-Unification Program (CATCH-UP), under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo Sucayan Tamayo Jr., has completed a significant donation of classroom resources to the Madrasatol Hidayatol Marangit, an Islamic educational institution located in Purok 7, Barangay Rubber, Polomolok.
The comprehensive support package, delivered on Sunday, addresses critical infrastructure and educational needs at the madrasah. The donation includes a newly constructed community comfort room, thirty armchairs with armrests, two foldable tables, an industrial-grade cooling fan, and solar-powered lighting.

“These improvements will greatly help our students focus on their studies and make our school a better place for learning,” said Ustadz Zarina Usop, the school’s principal, during the turnover ceremony. The initiative represents part of a broader provincial strategy to enhance educational facilities in resource-limited communities.
According to provincial records, the Madrasatol Hidayatol Marangit serves approximately 85 students from surrounding communities, many of whom previously studied in challenging conditions with limited facilities.

Recognizing the crucial role of inclusive education, Governor Tamayo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting diverse learning institutions across the province. “Quality education should be accessible to all our citizens, regardless of their background or faith,” he frequently emphasizes when discussing the province’s free education program.
The CATCH-UP team has implemented similar projects in over 14 Madrasah schools throughout South Cotabato since the program’s inception in 2022. Project Development Officer II, Mr. Cris Pingkunn Fuentes, also confirmed that the program will continue its mission of delivering transformative educational support across South Cotabato, with plans to reach an additional 7 schools this year.
