Christmas Decorations Light Up The Provincial Capitol Grounds

SOUTH COTABATO, PHILIPPINES – In anticipation of the festive season of Christmas, the Christmas lights decoration at the Provincial Capitol Compound have been officially switched on last December 2, marking the start of the holiday season.

This annual tradition, held every December, is spearheaded by the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) Maintenance Division.

According to OIC-PGSO Anna Rose Kasan, this year’s theme is titled “Symphony of Lights.” Kasan shared that their office maximized the use of trees and the main capitol building to create this year’s festive design and decorations.

Furthermore, Kasan also highlighted that more than the festive decorations – the lighting ceremony also signified the result of the collaborative efforts of the personnel from the Provincial General Services Office.

Lahat ng dekorasyon natin taon-taon ay pinaghirapan ng ating mga empleyado ng PGSO, lahat yan ay collaborative effort ng lahat – mapa utility, electrician, mga labor foreman at even sila engineer…” – Mrs. Kasan stated in his message

In addition, this year the decorations include Christmas lanterns crafted by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) from the South Cotabato Rehabilitation and Detention Center, showcasing their skills and creativity. Their addition to the Christmas decoration of the Capitol Compound this year highlights the diversity of the decoration present at the Capitol Compound.

The Christmas decorations are open daily starting December 2, 2024 from 6:00PM to 12:00MN.
