SOUTH COTABATO, PHILIPPINES – Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. leads the formal oath taking of the different committee chairpersons of the South Cotabato Provincial Youth Development Council last Monday, February 3, 2025.
Along with the staff of the Provincial Youth Development Office, twelve (12) youth leaders formally took their oath before the governor during the Monday flag ceremony. The twelve committee chairpersons are as follows:

- Raffy E. Ormita – Active Citizenship
- Tricia H. Yap – Economic Empowerment
- Ella Mae M. Bonghe – Environment
- Joelle Hannica T. Arcega – Governance
- Ronald Jay C. Arciaga – Gender and Equality
- Lovely L. Cabatac – Global Mobility
- Ariane Faye Bañares – Mental Health
- Nelson M. Atap – Physical/Sports Health
- Kian Delos Santos – Human Rights
- Marvin M. Salawa – Peace Building and Security
- Shiela Mae S. Yoro – Social Inclusion and Equity
- Johnly Pasigna – Education
The Provincial Youth Development Council currently headed by the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation President – Hon. Vincent Figueroa – is responsible for the youth movement and active participation of youth and youth serving organizations in the province.
Present also were the new officers of the League of Local Youth Development Officers in the Philippines South Cotabato Chapter.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed the youth’s role in active participation in good governance
“Isa rin sa binibigyang kahalagahan ng ating gobyerno ngayon ang pagbibigay diin sa mga kabataan na ma-involve na sa kung ano mang tama na governance ang ating mga gobyerno…” – Governor Tamayo Jr. said in his speech.
Furthermore, the governor also highlighted key points regarding the youth’s preparation and exposure in good governance preparing them to lead by example in the future.
In the end, governor Tamayo Jr. reassured his unwavering support in all the activities and plans of the Provincial Youth Development Council.
