South Cotabato, Philippines—To provide efficient public services, Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. stressed the value of cooperation and truthful information. Tamayo recognized the challenges caused by false information spreading in some communities, even despite the province’s continuous attempts to address local issues.
“So far, dahil nga nakababad naman ang tao natin sa baba sa pagkuha ng mga problema, halos nagkakaroon naman tayo ng regular communication sa mga purok at barangay papunta dito sa probinsya ng South Cotabato,” the governor said, emphasizing the provincial government’s efforts to establish regular communication with local leaders and residents. He pointed out the importance of these interactions in recognizing and solving the problems that the communities face.
Nonetheless, Tamayo also expressed concerns about the spread of misinformation, particularly about the navigators’ budget. He assured the public that the government continues to support these important responsibilities and emphasized that allegations regarding the lack of budget for navigators were baseless.
The governor stressed that the success of any government initiative depends on the collective effort of the community. He emphasized the need for unity and active participation in governance, recognizing that effective service delivery requires the cooperation of every sector.
Governor Tamayo’s statements show his commitment to a transparent government and his need for more knowledgeable and active citizens. He thinks South Cotabato can overcome challenges and provide better services for all of its citizens by encouraging cooperation between the government and its citizens.
The provincial government is pushing citizens to stay educated and cooperate in supporting local development initiatives as it fights misinformation and promotes greater community involvement.
