South Cotabato, Philippines—Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. is all for making debates and government programs more accessible and impactful for the people of South Cotabato. In a recent Governor’s Meet the Press event, Tamayo shared his commitment to a transparent and inclusive governance model that prioritizes the people’s needs.
He emphasized the importance of making government initiatives clear and well-structured so they can truly benefit the public. Like with Gov. Daisy’s programs, we’ve adopted the best practices, like her Integrity Circle and Open Government Partnership (OGP), without hesitation. These great models promote transparency, and I see them as crucial to our province’s continued progress.
“Just like between Governor Daisy, kag sa akon diba, pag pungko ko tong iya nga mga maayo nga plata porma di gobyerno gin adopt ta katong iya nga integrity circle ni Governor Daisy tong iya nga Open Government Partnership (OGP) nga mga programs nami man so gin adopt gin ta diretso atomatik nga wala sang pagduhaduha kay tungod maayo,” Gov. Tamayo stated.
Tamayo also highlighted that he would carry on the successful programs from the previous administration, such as the OGP, which allows the public to easily access information about provincial government initiatives. “It’s vital that the people have a platform where they can voice their opinions, make suggestions, and feel that their concerns are heard. This is how we achieve true development,” he added.
Under Tamayo’s leadership, South Cotabato’s government will continue to focus on delivering meaningful services that address the needs of its citizens. The governor expressed confidence that with effective programs and constant community engagement, the province will reach new heights of progress and prosperity.
In closing, Governor Tamayo reassured the public that their voice will always matter, as he remains committed to ensuring that South Cotabato’s development is a collaborative effort for the benefit of everyone.
