Integrity circle continues in South Cotabato

Koronadal City—Since 2015, officials and employees of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato have practiced integrity in public service, stressing its importance beyond politics. The Integrity Week, September 19-23, 2022, is a well-proven concept of the Integrity Circle, firstly applied in 2015 in South Cotabato. It brings together relevant stakeholders led by government heads and private sectors.

Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. thanked members of the Integrity Circle for reminding him to continue the practice of integrity in governance.

“This is my commitment to continue the good innovations and system that ensure good governance,” the governor said.

However, Tamayo encouraged the employees to cooperate and unite to achieve an integrity environment in the Provincial Capitol.

Carlito Uy, Integrity Circle team head, said that the continuation of Integrity Circle is a “manifestation of good governance, promoting good governance.”

“The Integrity Circle in South Cotabato is still alive!” Uy said during the launching of activities of Integrity Week last Monday.

The six-year of the program prevented corruption at the provincial level.

South Cotabato planted 24 mechanisms to guarantee a clean slate of government transactions and public service.

“Investors come in because we have integrity. They trust us because we practice integrity. This value creates more jobs for our constituents,” Uy added.

South Cotabato is one of the remaining local government units in the Philippines that sustain the integrity program.
