The month of November is celebrated as National Clean Air Month with its theme, “Rise Up: Moving Beyond Climate Talk to Climate Action, ” Supervising Environment Management Specialist Elbe Balucanag, chief of the Provincial Environment Management Office- Environment Management Development Division (PEMO –EMDD) disclosed.
SEMS Balucanag said that the theme stressed the “promotion of action to address climate change and its effects” in our environment and likewise focuses on the relationship of clean air and respiratory health.
Aside from Clean Air Month, November is also celebrated every year as National Environmental Awareness Month and National Climate Change Consciousness Week.
Wi the the 3 important rnvironmental celebrations, PEMO will hold the 7th South Cotabato Recyclable Waste Fair on November 18 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium & Cultural Center, City of Koronadal.
One of the hghlights of the whole-day activity will be the Buying and Selling of recyclable wastes in partenership with the South Cotabato Recyclers Association.
Aside from Buying and Selling of Recyclables, the Waste Fair will conduct a Symposiumm, Quiz Bee, Awarding of the Top 5 Cleanest and Greenest Barangay per LGU and top 3 Best Communityrdnn the province, and Recognition of Environment Partners.(photocredit:google.com)
