Over 1,000 Jobseekers Flock to South Cotabato Business Week Job Fair

Koronadal City, South Cotabato — More than 1,063 jobseekers took part in the highly anticipated Business Week Job Fair held in South Cotabato, according to the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

 The event, organized as part of the 2025 South Cotabato Business Week celebration, brought together dozens of local and national employers offering hundreds of job vacancies across various industries. The job fair served as a major employment intervention program aimed at reducing unemployment and underemployment in the province.

PESO South Cotabato said that the turnout exceeded expectations, with applicants ranging from fresh graduates and first-time jobseekers to experienced workers looking for better opportunities.

“Sa pag apply sang aton mga trabaho iready gid naton ang aton nga self ang character kag mga educational background kag sympre dapat maging presentable man kita sa aton nga interview” said PESO Manager Flora Cavan.

The activity was held in partnership with the Provincial Employment Service Unit (PESU), the South Cotabato Economic and Investment Promotion Center (SCEIPC), and several private sector partners. “Ang jobfair kay isa siya ka challenge para sa katawhan sang South Cotabato especially saamon nga mga wala trabaho kag sa mga fresh graduate maka hatag siya sang damo nga chansa kag salamat gid Governor Tamayo para saamuni nga event.” stated Jobseeker

Romaguera expressed sincere appreciation for the Job Fair, describing it as a valuable challenge and opportunity for the people of South Cotabato, especially for those who are unemployed and for fresh graduates seeking to start their careers. She highlighted how the event opened many chances for individuals like her to find meaningful employment and build a better future. Her heartfelt thanks were directed to Governor Tamayo for making such a significant event possible, emphasizing its impact on the community and the lives of job seekers across the province.

Officials emphasized that the job fair is just one of the many initiatives lined up to stimulate economic growth, support local businesses, and empower the labor force of South Cotabato.
