KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO- A total of 46 patients across South Cotabato benefited from the free patient transport vehicle services offered by the Provincial Government throughout the month of March.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), aims to provide safe and cost-free transportation for patients to and from hospitals within and outside the province.
Provincial DRRM Officer Rolly Doane Aquino emphasized that the program is in line with the directive of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., which mandates that the service must be completely free—covering the vehicle, driver, fuel, and medical staff accompanying the patients.
“This is part of Governor Tamayo’s ‘Tama kag Maayo nga Serbisyo’ banner program, designed to ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing urgent medical assistance,” Aquino said.
The PDRRMO’s 24/7 operations center continues to accept transport requests from residents. For assistance, Globe and TM subscribers may call 0927-542-6430, while Smart and Talk N Text users may reach out through 0969-191-5810.
