Some business establishments in the province particularly those with compliance on environmental permits and land use and zoning were inspected by members of the Provincial Multi-Partite Monitoring Team on Land Use and Environmental Policies and Compliance or PMMT-LEPIC.
Created by virtue of Executive Order #07, Series of 2017 signed by Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes, PMMT-LEPIC is composed of civil society organizations and institutions in government represented by their respected heads of organizations or duly designated representatives.
Seven establishments were physically visited by the team, according to the Provincial Planning and Development Office – Research, Evaluation and Monitoring Division (PPDO-REM), from 2016 to 2017.
Those inspected this year include Southern Ventures Poultry farms (Site II) in Upper Klinan, Polomolok. Gemma Construction Batching Plant in Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, Supreme Power Corporation in Paraiso, Koronadal City and Bio-Tech Farms, Banga.
Likewise in 2016, those inspected were Sumifru in Poblacion, T’boli, Dole Phils in Surallah, Bio-Tech Farms in Banga and Bio-Tech Feedmill in Tantangan.
PPDO – REM also disclosed that PMMT-LEPIC members made their respective report after each monitoring session about their findings particularly on non-compliant establishments and submitted the same to the concerned businesses for their compliance.
A copy of the report is also furnished to the concerned national line agency or agencies, PPDO-REM added, for their proper action.
