PPDO conducts 2014-16 Executive-Legislative Agenda review

CITY OF KORONADAL — The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) conducted a review of the 2014–2016 Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) last February 11–12 at the Aviary Restaurant, The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, this city, to monitor its status of its implementation.

An ELA is a document that articulates the government program of the executive department of an LGU in a given period of time and contains the major development thrusts of the local administration, including the development priorities of the Local Chief Executive towards the attainment of the LGU vision.

Heads of Offices of the Executive Department and Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan together with the Vice-Governor under the Legislative Department presented their respective status report during the 2-day activity.

Planning Officer IV Jennifer Bretana disclosed that the activity aims to monitor, review and assess the implementation of the different Programs, Projects and Activities (PPAs) during the 2-year period.

“The status of the 2014-2016 ELA will be the basis if PPAs will still be continued this year, or if not, it will left to the new administration comes June 30 if they want it to continue,” Bretana pointed out.

2016 is election year and by June 30 another set of elected executive and legislative officials will be sworn into office.

The new set of elected officials will review the accomplishment of the ELA and will use it as a basis in the formulation of a new ELA for 2017–2019, Bretana stressed.

The reporting was divided into 2 batches wherein the first batch was composed of the Vice-Governor and Board Members, Economic Development Sector and Infrastructure Development Sector while the second batch was composed of Social Development Sector, DRR-CCCA / Environment Sector and Development Administration.
