Provincial Government Turns Over New Comfort Rooms to Four South Cotabato Communities

SOUTH COTABATO – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through its Convergence Approach for Transformation and CHange – Unification Program (CATCH-UP), successfully conducted turnover ceremonies for newly constructed community comfort rooms across multiple locations on December 2-3, 2024.

Under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo Sucayan Tamayo Jr., the project benefited four distinct communities:
1. Purok 7, Barangay Bunao in Tupi

2. Sitio Datal Long, Barangay T’bolok in T’boli

3. Sitio Canteen, Barangay Laconon in T’boli

4. Sitio Lasak, Barangay Salacafe in T’boli

The initiative demonstrates the provincial government’s commitment to improving sanitation facilities and public health infrastructure in remote communities. The CATCH-UP program, which coordinates various development efforts in the province, continues to implement projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in far-flung areas. These community comfort rooms are expected to significantly improve sanitation conditions and public health standards in these communities, particularly benefiting areas that previously had limited access to proper sanitation facilities.

The turnover ceremonies mark another milestone in Governor Tamayo’s comprehensive development agenda for South Cotabato’s rural communities, emphasizing the administration’s focus on basic infrastructure development and public health improvement.
