The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through its Population Office, has officially launched the Search for the Most Outstanding Model Family, elevating its efforts in family recognition and community engagement. The Provincial Population Office (PPO) held a Pre-Evaluation Meeting to kick off this prestigious event, which recognizes families that have made significant contributions to promoting family welfare and development across the province.
The evaluation phase, scheduled from September 5 to 26, 2024, will cover all municipalities and the province’s component city. A 10-member Provincial Evaluation Committee from key sectoral agencies has been assembled to assess the nominated families. Their task is to identify those that exemplify strong family values, unity, and active involvement in population development.
This annual search serves as a vital platform to inspire families across South Cotabato to take active roles in population and community development. By recognizing exceptional families, the initiative aims to motivate others to contribute meaningfully to the growth of their communities. A key focus is on promoting Responsible Parenthood, which helps families maintain stability and thrive, contributing to the overall development of the province.
This year, the PPO introduced an exciting new element—the Model Family Online Video Contest. The contest features the selected model families, showcasing their stories and highlighting why they deserve the title. This new addition expands the reach of the search, allowing the public to witness the values and achievements that make these families stand out.
The contest will run throughout September 2024, with videos posted exclusively on the Provincial Population Office South Cotabato Facebook Page. The winner will be determined based on the number of online views and likes each video receives. The Provincial Government hopes that by incorporating this modern and engaging format, they can inspire even more families and communities to get involved, promoting family excellence and values across the region.
