RST Day in South Cotabato draws over 160,000 attendees, marks success and joy among South Cotabateños

South Cotabato, PhilippinesThe celebration of Reinforced Services Taskforce (RST) Day on September 21, 2024, at the South Cotabato Sports Complex was marked by success and joy, drawing a crowd of over 160,000 attendees, including RST members from various cities and municipalities across the province.

“Napakaganda ng naging resulta ng RST Day,” said Governor Tamayo. “Hindi ko akalain na ganon karami ang mag participate.”

Governor Tamayo expressed his deep gratitude for the warmth and enthusiasm shown by the crowd, seeing it as a reflection of their patriotism and dedication to the prosperity of South Cotabato.

“Ako’y lubos na natutuwa,” he stated. “Hindi ko ma-explain ang pakiramdam sa sobrang init ng pagtanggap at sobrang saya ng selebrasyon.”

The event was organized to honor the efforts and service of RST members toward the province’s development. It also served as a celebration of the collective contribution of South Cotabateños, recognizing their role in building a united and thriving society.

Governor Tamayo reiterated the core mission behind the creation of RST, which is to provide supplementary support and services to enhance government initiatives.

“Reinforced Services Taskforce is a group of people na binuo para mag reinforce sa services ng gobyerno,” he explained. “Karamihan diyan ay yung bayanihan system na ginagawa nila sa mga barangay, purok, at sitio, lalong-lalo na sa mga malalayong lugar.”

RST was established to foster a culture of bayanihan, where members unite for a common goal: to contribute to the province’s growth and progress. “Yung nangyari nung Sabado ay resulta ng pagbabayanihan na kung saan sila mismo ay kusang-loob na pumunta at nakisaya sa selebrasyon ng RST Day,” Governor Tamayo noted.

Governor Tamayo emphasized that the organization was created not for personal gain, but for the public good and the welfare of the province, emphasizing its role in fostering progress and development in South Cotabato.

“Ang organisasyong ito ay hindi binuo para sa personal na interest ng tao kundi interest ng bawat mamamayan at ng buong lalawigan,” he explained.

Governor Tamayo concluded by assuring that RST exists to promote unity among South Cotabateños in achieving a more prosperous province, one marked by continuous progress and development.

“Ang pagbubuo ng grupong ito ay nagsisimbolo lamang ng pagkakaisa sa buong lalawigan, at sa pagkakaisang ‘yan, natitiyak ko na makakamtan natin ang tunay na progreso at development ng ating lalawigan.”

Under the leadership of Governor Tamayo, together with the collective efforts of government employees, public officials, and people of South Cotabato, the province is assured to become a stronger and greater society.
