Koronadal, South Cotabato- The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of South Cotabato remains on high alert and prepared for any calamity that may affect the province.
According to PDRRM Officer Rolly Doane Aquino, the provincial government quickly responds to disasters, especially in cases where barangays, municipalities, or cities are unable to address the situation on their own.
Aquino further stated that the Provincial Engineering Office’s equipment is also on standby for de-clogging operations during flooding incidents.
He clarified that relief assistance can only be provided in times of calamity when there are affected families. The funds for relief efforts cannot be utilized if no disaster has been officially recorded in the area.
The PDRRMO of South Cotabato ensures that all necessary resources and assistance are ready to maintain the safety and welfare of its residents during emergencies.
