The Department of Labor and Employment Region 12 (DOLE XII) allocated PHP5.9M livelihood budget to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato intended for over 200 beneficiaries in the province.
A total budget of PHP5,911,345.00 was received by the South Cotabato Government this August 2023 intended for the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) to aid beneficiaries from the 10 municipalities, and one city in the province.
The budget allocated is intended for a total of 282 livelihood beneficiaries in South Cotabato in which they may choose from over 38 livelihood programs the province has to offer.
Among the 38 livelihood programs available for the beneficiaries include: Taho Business, Beads Making, Dress Making, Parlor Materials, Vulcanizing, Auto repair, welding, carinderya, food processing, engine repair, among others.
South Cotabato’s Labor and Employment Officer I, Flora G. Cavan, stipulated that the province will provide material assistance for the respective programs of the beneficiaries with the budget depending on the submitted business plan.
“… Ang budget naga-depende sa business plan nga iga-submit nila sa amon, wala kita [Province] naga-hatag sang cash assistance, purely tools, materials, kag non-perishable items ang mahatag…” – Flora G. Cavan said in an interview.
In addition, Cavan added that this year, the DILEEP program of the province is for individual beneficiaries across the 38 livelihood programs, however, groups and associations are still welcome to apply.
“Sa subong, ang project naton kay para sa mga individua, pero pwede gihapon mag avail ang groups, pero dapat mas comprehensive ang business plans.” – Cavan added in an interview.
Interested applicants for future beneficiaries may submit the following requirements to the Public Employment Services Office South Cotabato:
- Application form,
- Individual Business Plan,
- Certificate of Residency,
- Certificate of Indigency,
- ID Photo and;
- Sketch of Residence
