South Cotabato Celebrates 9th Provincial IP Day and Kaklè Festival highlighting the Outstanding Indigenous Model Families Awards

Koronadal City, South Cotabato – The 9th Provincial Indigenous Peoples (IP) Day and the Kaklè Festival will be held on October 25, 2024, at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center. The event will highlight the Search for the Most Outstanding Indigenous Peoples’ Model Family Awarding Ceremony, which recognizes exceptional Indigenous families who serve as role models in their communities.

With the theme “Pamilyang Planado, Angat sa South Cotabato,” the program aims to emphasize the importance of family planning and the role of each member in fostering a well-structured and prosperous household. This is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to support Indigenous communities, particularly in the areas of education, health, and livelihood.

The event will also feature the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to the provincial search committee members in recognition of their contributions to the selection process. Following this will be the presentation of plaques of appreciation to the 2024 Indigenous Peoples’ Model Families of South Cotabato, culminating in the official declaration of winners and the distribution of awards.

The ceremony is expected to inspire not only the Indigenous families but all residents of South Cotabato, underscoring the importance of unity and the celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the province’s Indigenous Peoples.
