The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., continues to uphold its commitment to inclusive governance by engaging various communities in meaningful dialogue. Through the initiative of the Office of the Provincial Population Officer, a Consultative Conference with program partners and stakeholders was successfully conducted as part of the preparations for the proposed Search for Moro Model Family in South Cotabato.
The event served as a collaborative platform to gather insights, foster unity, and strengthen partnerships among key representatives from different sectors of the Moro community. Attendees included the Chairpersons of the Muslim Council of Elders from the province’s ten municipalities and the City of Koronadal, alongside members of the Bangsamoro Women Organization, Bangsamoro Youth Organization, and the Mahintana Pro-Peace Program. Their presence underscored the importance of community involvement in programs that recognize and uplift exemplary Moro families.

Also in attendance were Board Members Alan Ines and Edgar Sambog, the Koronadal City Population Office, and other relevant stakeholders. The diverse participation highlighted the provincial government’s dedication to creating inclusive platforms where different voices and perspectives can be heard and respected. Discussions during the conference revolved around criteria development, nomination processes, and community engagement strategies to ensure the successful implementation of the upcoming search.
The proposed Search for Moro Model Family aims to honor families within the Moro community who exemplify strong family values, cultural integrity, community involvement, and positive contributions to peace and development. It reflects the province’s broader goal of promoting social cohesion, cultural pride, and mutual respect among its diverse population.
This initiative forms part of the province’s continuous effort to deliver responsive and inclusive public service, reinforcing the core values of equity, empowerment, and unity across all cultural groups in South Cotabato.
