The SOCCSKSARGEN or SOX Travel and Trade Expo slated from April 11 -14 at Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City is all set and ready, a senior official of the Department of Tourism (DOT) disclosed.
DOT 12 Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera said that the 40 rented booths of the exhibitors are ready to showcase the “best of the best” products and services which can be found in the region.
SOCCSKSARGEN Is composed of Cotabato City, General Santos City, Kidapawan City, Tacurong City and Koronadal City and the provinces of North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani.
SOX Travel and Trade Expo, a major activity of the DOT 12, formally starts at 3 o’clock in the afternoon of April 11 with a Parade and Opening Program followed by Cocktails and Press Conference together with members of the national media.
Daily activities include Daily Sales Calls with Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Hoteliers, Schools and Exhibitors, Audio-Visual Presentation, Program and Raffles of the different LGUs and partner NGAs DA and DTI and the Regional Tourism Council 12 on their assigned day during the 4-day expo.
Internationally-acclaimed Hinugyaw Dance Troupe of Koronadal City will likewise entertain the audience with their daily performances of different Mindanao Dances.
Other activities include Investment Matching and Business Matching Sessions with the tourism stakeholders in collaboration with government sector partner agencies.
During the closing ceremonies on April 14, Hinugyaw Dance Troupe will perform a Food Dance Drama to be followed by a fashion show of the creations of internally-renowned fashion guru Jared Servano of Koronadal City.
