Tampakan launches SC-CCTS

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo commends the efforts of the municipality of Tampakan for completely registering all of its constituents from  14 barangays to the South Cotabato-Covid -19 Contact Tracing System (SC-CCTS).

During the launching program of the SC-CCTS at the Tampakan Municipal grounds early today, Tamayo said, he is thankful to the efforts of  Mayor Leonard Escobillo for helping him protect the constituents especially in time of this pandemic.

“I only have one wish for the province, this is to make every South Cotabateñes well-protected against Covid-19 while there is no vaccine yet.”  He said,

He added, there are so many challenges along the way but all can be hurdled through the cooperation of every constituent and the frontliners.

All of the four criteria he wished to accomplish are slowly turning into reality.

To date, the province of South Cotabato has fulfilled the establishment of  the following:

Functional Covid-19 Center which is already operational through a Public-Private Partnership between the provincial government and the South Cotabato Medical Society.

Adequate Personal Protective Equipment which was purchased in bulk by the PGSC.

Establishment of the  Covid-19 Testing Laboratory which was recently opened last week. This is  another PPP initiative by the province and the Dr. Arturo P. Pingoy Medical Center  (DAPPMC)

Contact Tracing which is the last criterion to be fulfilled awaits full implementation.

This is also to complete the requirements for the  3Ts against Covid-19  which is to  Test, Trace, and Treat.

Tamayo said, if all these are complete, South Cotabato is ready for economic restart despite the in- availability of the vaccine.

Tampakan was the first to launch the SC-CCTS  out of the province’s ten towns and lone city.

Polomolok is set to launch this local contact tracing application on June 17 while the provincial launching will be held on June 18 in Koronadal City.
