Fifteen (15) barangays from the municipality of Tupi presented their respective Barangay Cultural Profile in a simple yurnover ceremony on July 25 attended by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit, Municipal officials , Municipal Tourism Office, Municipal and Barangay IPMRs, Barangay officials and the DILG.
The turnover is part of the Cultural Mapping Project (CMP) of the ACTMU, which according to Tourism Operations Officer II Indira Cagaanan, ACTMU Arts & Culture Program Coordinator is a year and a half in the making.
Vice-Mayor Glenn Hatulan formally welcomed the attendees which were acknowledged earlier by Tupi Tourism Officer Bren Tamayo.
Engr. Hans Fernandez, CMP Editor, presented the Cultural Profile in an audio-visual presentation, highlighting the “best” cultursl icons among Tupi’s 15 barangays.
Senior Tourism Operations Officer Argie RRyan Asaria reiterated the support of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr . to culture and the arts. He informed the attendees that the Barangay Cultural Profile presented is the first volume and additional volumes can be published depending on the respective Barangay Cultural Mapping Team.
The 15 barangays are Acmonan, Bololmala, Bunao, Cebuano, Crossing Rubber, Kablon, Kalkam, Linan, Lunen, Miasong, Palian, Poblacion, Polonuling, Simbo and Tubeng.
